VACANCY: MAINTENANCE FOREMAN

My Client situated in Zululand, 25 kms from St Lucia has a vacancy for a Maintenance Foreman

Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the successful applicant will be required to manage the Back End Maintenance Team in order to ensure the effective maintenance of mechanical equipment and ensuring maximum efficiency and at lowest possible cost.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum N4 in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical fitting.
• Minimum 10 years heavy industrial supervisory /foreman experience in sugar.
• High levels of competence on people management and mechanical engineering.
• Sound experience in maintenance management, planning and budgeting.
• In depth knowledge & experience in reliability, preventive & predictive maintenance.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Plan, prioritise, organise, lead, control and adjust team efforts.
• Set and maintain high workmanship standards and hold team accountable to achieving set standards.
• Maximise equipment reliability and availability and rapidly return equipment back into service.
• Perform administration, control costs and manage budgets sparingly.
• Ensure healthy and safe working environment is maintained, in accordance with OHS
• Act and ISO 14001 and ISO 22000.
